Road Trip

 Day One
Setting off today down south.

We stopped off along the way to have lunch with my best buddy beargrowls and his mum Eva.
Here we are chillaxing after a sumptuous lunch of homemade pizza and apple strudel!

After teary goodbyes, we set off on our way to Somerset.

We found this small B & B, in a place called Chewton Mendip in Somerset.
It was a post office but has been converted into a B & B. Where people buy there stamps from I don't know, but as a B & B you cant lick it!
It only had 3 rooms but they were done in a French theme and very luxurious, check out the size of this bed!

The bath was big enough for every resident!
The owners were fluffy friendly and made us feel very welcome, and seemed impressed that we had our own blog!

Day 2

Atfer a good nights sleep and a full english breakfast we set off down south towards North Devon.
We found this pretty coastal town called Lynmouth, were Exmoor meets the sea. Made famous because of the flood in 1952, which killed 34 people and destroyed all the hotels there. Its been rebuilt since and is a stunning place to stay.

We stayed in a hotel pictured below called Shelleys, named after the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who honeymooned there a long time ago. We had a room with a view of the harbour, well cool.
Fish and Chips at the Rock House Hotel was delicious.

Day 3

Off to Ilfracombe now, it's May Day so they were maypole dancing in the square, we didn't join in!  The funny looking sandcastle building in the distance is the theatre.

Now with the top down it's off to Bude, for a Cornish Cream Tea.

We arrived in Mawgan Porth a little village near Newquay. We stayed in the Bedruthan Steps Hotel, our view from the room was awesome. Overlooking the Atlantic ocean.

                                     Day 4
The next day the sun was shining so we headed off down to the beach.
This is great but where's the beer?
We decided to go and look for a cold beer so off we headed up the hill. After a 2 mile hike, we had to sit down..

Can't see one from here!.....
I'll wait here monkey, you go and have a look!

Cheers!  We are in Watergate Bay having a liquid lunch!

Now how do we get back?...... Taxi?

Day 5 to be cont'd ......
